Join us for live conversations with expert panelists from across NatCap’s network of scientists, practitioners, and leaders. Our Conversations format is designed to spark discussion, learn from others’ experiences, and promote connections with collaborators old and new.
The events will feature everything from climate-smart coastal planning to cultural ecosystem services and more. We encourage you to engage in the live sessions.
The InVEST Water Model Course is a 12.5-hour, live-online course that will focus on two of the most popular InVEST models: Sediment Retention (SDR) & Nutrient Delivery Ratio (NDR). The course is designed for modelers, economists, and scientists. Familiarity with InVEST models is desirable, but not required. You will learn model theory, how to run the models, real case studies of model applications informing decisions, monetary valuation, and information about connecting to policy and finance mechanisms.
Governments and the financial system are increasingly recognizing the risks and opportunities that must be managed due to the interconnectedness of dynamic climate forces, biodiversity, and economies. This panel brings together leaders in natural capital science and approaches from academia, government, and finance.
The Natural Capital Symposium draws over 400 people from 31 countries worldwide. Each year, participants convene to share experiences, trade success stories, hear about cutting edge research, and learn how to use NatCap's approach and software tools in hands-on training sessions.
