2024 Natural Capital Symposium

Main content start

On June 4-7, 400 people from more than 45 countries came together at Stanford University for the first Natural Capital Symposium since 2019. Attendees discussed mainstreaming natural capital and ecosystem-based approaches in governments and international financial institutions; advancing private sector financing for nature and biodiversity; the frontiers of urban nature and health; and the connections between equity, justice, and nature – among many other topics.

What attendees had to say

“This symposium was very different from the ones I am used to attending -- it was possible to interact not only with academic/science professionals, but also with funders and people who work in government institutions.”

“It is energizing and inspiring to know that so many people are working in these critical areas."

"I wanted to learn more about Natural Capital, and did so. And I met an incredibly talented and open-minded community as part of the Symposium. It was inspiring, and there are some fantastic new connections I made that could help my work in climate considerably."
