Saleh Mamun

Saleh Mamun is a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Minnesota. Saleh is jointly appointed at the Applied Economics Department and Natural Resources Research Institute. His research interest lies in the field of natural resource economics and ecological economics. His research focuses on the valuation of environmental amenities and hazards. He also researches land-use optimization integrating ecosystem services into the decision matrix. He is a team member of The Natural Capital Project, a collaborative initiative between The Stanford University and the University of Minnesota.

He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of New Mexico and an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. He worked six years in construction, marketing, and government in Bangladesh. He has experience in research on environmental issues from business, development, and engineering perspective.
