Stacie Wolny (she/they) develops and applies the terrestrial hydrology toolset for the Natural Capital Project and supports Stanford’s Center for Conservation Biology. After twelve years working as a system administrator and software engineer in Silicon Valley, she started studying GIS as a way to combine her computer background with a love of natural history and ecology. Stacie received a B.S. in computer science from Penn State University and studied GIS at Foothill College and San Jose State University.
