Vincent Mokoka

Vincent is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pretoria, affiliated with the Department of Geography, Geoinformatics, and Meteorology, and stationed at the Centre for Environmental Studies (CFES). As a Rangeland Ecologist, Vincent specializes in investigating the functioning and management of Rangelands amidst global change. His research is centered on unraveling the complex interplay of social-ecological relationships within dryland ecosystems. A core objective of his research is to actively contribute to the decision-making processes of policymakers, investors, and land managers. Vincent's work is part of a collaborative initiative involving the University of Pretoria, The Natural Capital Project, and the Stockholm Resilience Centre. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Limpopo through a substantial cooperative research project facilitated by the South African Limpopo Landscapes Network (SALLnet), an initiative involving six German universities and five South African universities.
