Developing an approach for optimizing land use planning by accounting for trade-offs among food production and other ecosystem services, eventually extending to the CaƱete Basin in Peru and the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor region of Tanzania. Partners: The Nature Conservancy and Stanford University.  Collaborators:  CIAT (International Center for Tropical Agriculture), IFPRI (International Food Policy Research Institute), the Water, Land and Ecosystems Program of CGIAR.
