Nicholas Hendershot (he/him/his) is a fellow at the Stanford Center for Conservation Biology and the Natural Capital Project, and a Forest Ecologist for The Nature Conservancy in California. Nick’s research at Stanford focuses on understanding how climate and land use change impact bird communities in the tropics. His recent work has focused on developing a modeling framework that combines field-based biodiversity monitoring with remotely sensed climate information to quantify the conservation value of alternative agricultural practices in Central America.
