Tong Wu

Tong Wu is a native of Inner Mongolia and grew up in Arizona. His research centers on the challenges and prospects of sustainable development in China. Topics that he has worked on include the mainstreaming of ecosystem services in management and planning, the role of nature in improving public health outcomes, and strategies for climate change mitigation and adaptation. Currently, a major research focus is the development of gross ecosystem product (GEP) as a policy instrument for aligning environmental and socio-economic imperatives. Tong received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, his master’s from Northern Arizona University, and his Ph.D. from Arizona State University.
